Getting out of town and seeing new sights always provides so much inspiration. I always look for accommodation that is both beautiful and interesting. It took a bit of searching to find the right place this time, but 'The Loft Cottages' in Ballarat didn't disappoint! So much thought has gone into the design. Recycled fence palings line the ceiling, there is a beautiful red gum tree trunk in the centre, and the mix of old and new furniture adds so much character. Everything was beautifully styled, from the fruit to the towels and soap. The high quality linen and fluffy towels brought luxury to the rustic design. Such a delight to stay there! We all loved the wide range of breakfast provisions, and Raffi and Celeste loved the attic bedroom and toys.
Great food, a plethora of antique shops, beautiful streetscapes and Sovereign Hill made for a great weekend!
